I never had a Gazzetta but based on your remarks about Italian smoothness I know what you mean. quality Columbus Steel is smooth. I've had 1/2 dozen of these bikes, even with some of their "exotic" tube sets.
A bike like this is fun to ride fast, and I can see that you like to. My suggestion is that you get narrower handlebars. They are more aerodynamic and you will ride much more straightly. Have fun and go FAST !

42cm isn't as bad for me as i thought. I kinda wish i had gotten 40cm, but at the time i didn't know, but its ok, i ride fine :P
