Cinelli Tutto All-Around FG/Singlespeed

Kind of a continuation of my previous bike. I wanted an all-around adventure singlespeed on a steel frame, with flip-flop hub (to ride fixed as well) and fat tires. Tutto seemed to be a perfect frame for this, (Columbus Cromor tubeset + clearence for up to 40mm tires, eyelets for bottle cages and front rack, etc). Belt system opening and internal cable routing are nice to have as well. The main concern of this build was the reliability, not the weight, speed or style (however I like how it looks).

It's a great frameset indeed, and it's a pity that it's already discontinued. I don't like the new Tutto Plus

Hey! Have you tried installing tires > 35mm? Thinking about getting this frame.. so i'm wondering about maximal tire geuge.. without fenders and brakes. Nice bike tho.

Hey! I haven't tried larger tires yet, but here https://cinelli.it/en/garage/tutto-heav... they put WTB Nano 40mm on it, but I'm not sure it will fit any larger. I have plans to try 38 or 40 mm tires as well. Currently I have plenty of clearance with 35mm tires, so I think 40mm should work.

Just installed Panaracer Gravelking 38c (I guess it's the same as most 40 mm tires). Fits fine, but I think it doesn't make sense to put any wider tires. Maybe even 45 mm would fit, but there would be absolutely no mud clearance.

@deeprider: seems I've accidentaly hit the "Remove comment" button below your comment, sorry. Replying to your question - my frame is M size (I'm 178 cm tall). BTW they have all the geometry measurments listed on the website http://cinelli.it/en/prodotti/tutto-en/, I just recommend you to compare it to your current bike. And pay special attention to stand over height - measure your inner leg length, it should be a bit more than you frame's St. Ov. :)

Thanks. I think about the size L (I'm 188), the St.Ovr. height should be ok. What makes me cautious is the short headtube, but I can use a bit more spacers I guess...

Really nice build! I'm going to buy one of these frames soon. Could you tell me the diameter of the seatpost clamp?

poohitan

poohitan says:

Hi. Seatpost diameter is 27.2 mm.

Wish you a nice build too :).
I will be glad to see it when it's ready, please post a link here if you don't mind.

Nash says:

Thanks. I meant the inner diameter of the clamp which pinches the seat tube. It's going to be a bit bigger than 27.2.

Ahh, ok:). Will measure and post it bit later today.
But clamp is included with frameset, so you don't need to worry on how to choose the right diameter.

I built this bike only 2 months ago, but so far it looks great and very reliable. I'm riding everyday, city, cobbles, gravel, rain showers — no issues.

Hey mate, been busy. Just measured the clamp: when it's not tightened, it's inner diameter is 29.8 mm.
Outer seat tube diameter is 28.8 mm, I guess this measurment is more valuable.
