Nice build, looking to base a build around the same frame, this is really helpful. A long term project due to funds! Want a light hill climbing bike. Will watch as your bike evolves, nice wheel-set......

Thanks! Best of luck on your build.

I think it can be lighter by using smaller cog and lower rims and so on.....

dovitsky

dovitsky says:

I’m well aware....I could save ~150g using a shallower rim/lighter rear hub, but I really like this Corima set. A smaller cog would save a few grams, which isn’t really a concern of mine at this point.

do you reckon you could go down 5kg? If yes, what's in your mind?

Posted over 2 years ago

dovitsky

dovitsky says:

It would be pretty simple, if I were to switch to road crank & a 3/32 chain/cog. I'm working on getting a clavicula in the near future. But for now, it's light enough! (Almost too light)

Thanks! Oh yeah, swapping the crank and using a 3/32 setup would do the trick. But it's light enough for now :)

Mack Superlight hubs to AX Lightness or Lightweight rims and a custom carbon Fiber
-Lyte ring on THM Clavicula or Lightning cranks would take this over the top.

Posted almost 3 years ago

dovitsky

dovitsky says:

I agree, I currently have a fiberlyte ring on the bike. And I'm in the process of getting a clavicula!

Posted almost 3 years ago

dovitsky

dovitsky says:

I decided to have a custom carbon spider built for the rotor. THM will be a upgrade down the line.

Posted almost 3 years ago

eldeezy

eldeezy says:

I have Clavicula cranks on my road bike. So much stiffer and lighter than the newest Rotor 3D+ cranks. The price is hard to stomach but the performance and weight savings is worth the extra $500 or so.
