Gayas is possibly the first Korean track frame company ever established. They were sponsored by one of major company in Korea called Sun-kyung (SK) and built track frames for U.S.A. Olympic Track Team for Seoul Olympics 1988. Most of Gayas frames has double butted Tange tubing and Suntour track-ends. They are built prestigiously to highest standard. Gayas disappeared in early to mid 1990s and their frames are therefore extremely rare to find in any condition (even in Korea); this frame in particular was sourced with the tubing in good condition but the decals and paint were poor. The seller was actually able to track down the original builder (http://www.youngcycle.com) who built this in the 80s and have him restore it. Young Cycle builds all the Cello, 3rensho and Kalavinka frames for Korean Kerin. This one has the double butted Tange tubing and Suntour track-ends. NABY engraved on the seatstay means Butteryfly which is presumably the nickname of the rider it was built for.
