Ever since Kory York released the first K2 prototype a decade ago, I was obsessed in this modern recreation of the original Cannondale track. 4 years ago I finally got one for myself, seeing it as the perfect vessel to bring the 90s to the present. Following this modern revival theme, the whole bike is built up using modern counterparts of classic parts, or parts straight out the 90s for those that are irreplaceable. 4 years, 3 countries, 5 cities later, this bike has been through a lot with me and has more to come on its path.

Current Stage Info:
Two main changes - saddle and stem. I now have a dedicated road bike for actual distance riding, still a work in progress. So my comfy Specialized saddle is now on the road bike. Which worked out great because I thought the saddle looked a bit out of place after looking at it for a while. Luckily a friend of mine was selling of his Flite saddle collection and offered this heavily patina'd 94' for a great price so that's the new to me saddle! As for the stem, I had this sitting in storage for a bit now trying to bring back my drops setup, but after getting my road bike a few months ago it felt redundant to have drops on this too. So, when I was switching out my bars after a crash I slapped it on this stem and the length just felt better. Honestly in the past few months the bike sits in my room collecting dust cuz life has picked up quite a bit. Hopefully in 2026 I'll get more use out of this thing.

Love the "tan line" on the wheels. I just put on some transparent ("brown") GP5000 on my Orbea.
Always some classy touch/vibes.
Especially when there is no visible Sidewall for breaks.

Disc rims for fixed gear makes the wheels extra clean.. the amount of character tan/gum walls add is always amazing

I have loved every iteration of this bike. This one is no exception!

Love the latest iteration! The custom logo on this gorgeous wheelset makes it really special and a fun reference to the OG Zipp but clincher and durable :)

Do you recall the spoke lengths that you went with for both the front and rear wheels? Which calculator did you use to determine the spoke lengths by the way?
Very interested in doing something similar to yours!

You are clearly damn skilled at piecing things together. Massive respect! Quite jealous with this one...

What an honor! Couldn't have made it more presentable without your photo tips

Really appreciating your attention to detail with this build - the bike looks great. Loving the LF front and HF rear hub choices. Matching hubs are great and all but I feel like HF front hubs look a little out of place on small-silhouette steel forks.

Hi, I always wanted to explain why I chose to do this. The goal was to make it seem like there are no hubs- small low flange gets almost hidden behind the steel fork, and for the rear, it looks like the spokes are coming out straight from the cog. Most people nowadays love high flanges, but on my previous wheelset I thought it looked out of place. Overall I tried to make the whole bike as simple & sleek as it could be, as seen on the seatpost clamp, valve caps, thin clamp on the stem, thin track grips, etc. Not the most traditional approach you could say

It came out really well. I'd definitely go LF/HF on my next track wheelbuild. Didn't notice the minimalist seatpost collar on the first look, that's a neat design. Bike came out great.

I really dig this build, not usually a fan of rotors + Threaded headset, but its growing one me!

Not usually a fan of rotors but with the AARN it goes hard. Loving the new meets old vibe on this build!

Appreciate it! As time passed it's definetly gone more modern than classic, but glad you like it
