Origin8 city ripper

"El Taco", my daily rider in Milwaukee, WI. Parts are constantly being changed on it. It's no Cinelli, but it fits like a glove, handles well, and skids smooth as butter.

Frame:
Origin8 Del Pasado

Fork/Headset:
Bontrager Approved Carbon (Trek OEM) / VP comp

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Sram GXP compact road

Pedals:
"vintage" 80s stuff

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
surly 18t cog / sinz 44t ring / KMC Z

Handlebars/Stem:
Bontrager Race Bullhorn / Bontrager 60mm

Saddle/Seatpost:
WTB shadow V test-ride / generic

Brakes:
brakes are death

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Al-Class Exa ALX330 / Giant branded Kenda Kwest

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Milwaukee Bicycle Co. / Kenda Kwest

More Info:
For what it's worth, I actually think that this particular Alex wheel isn't so bad. Haven't needed to true it in a year, bladed spokes, sealed cartridge bearings, they are just heavy.

  1. Hipster Missile v1.0
  2. Hipster Missile v1.5

Current Stage Info:

added "carbon" fork (eh, it has an aluminum steerer and drops, but it was $30 brand new), Sweet-Sixteen wheel has been re-purposed for cyclocross duty so I tossed an Alex on the front.
