Romet Jaguar Standard Singlespeed

This bike was made in 1980's in Poland. It was a road bike originally, built from chromoly Reynolds 501 tubes; all the components were mainly Polish too, by ZZR and Favorit manufacturers. A friend of mine bought it in 2012 from some random grandma in Lviv, Ukraine; she told it was her husband's bike. The frame wasn't in great condition, but it still had the original dark-yellow painting, however it looked very timeworn. The chrome on the fork was in quite nice condition. In some time my friend decided to turn it into a fixed gear bike. It's displayed as the initial stage of this bike. Later he cut off the derailleur hanger & cable guides (as they are not needed for a singlespeed bike) and painted the frameset in bright yellow. In 2014 he built another fixie for himself and presented this frameset to me, so I've started to build a singlespeed/fixie too. I planned to use it as my secondary bike in addition to my mountain bike, but very soon I loved it's simplicity and lightness and made it my primary and only bike :). Now I use it for everyday commuting, for travels and marathons. I have started with a very cheap setup (see stage 2), it costed me about $60 only for the whole bike. From that moment I continue to improve this bike, it has already survived few car accidents, the frame geometry was broken for several times, but I was able to fix it —thanks to the fact it's steel. I was also forced to change the original fork after it got broken in an accident. I love this bike, the frameset is really nice, it's not a piece of shit from HVZ which are popular in Ukraine; it's Reynolds, anyhow. So I don't plan to change it until it will completely collapse :). I want to gradually make it an adventure/all-around/gravel bike, I think that the frame fits these requirements very naturally.
