Steel Beater SS 2.0

Traded my old steel frame for this one, just for the cable guides. Just swapped over most of the parts from the other bike to this one and made a few changes.

Frame:
Cheap TIG welded Hi-Ten steel frame, 52cm (54TT with HUGE headtube. Relative to size, of course.)

More Info:
Steel Beater SS 3.0 is up and running. Will post bike on Pedalroom soon!

Thanks for the fave then! I totally love gravel/all-road bikes, and the Cross-Check is clearly a good bike. Though, today, I would probably have bought a bike with discs. Actually I'm upgrading the CC these days, just ordered the last parts, so will update it's page in a few weeks.

Also, sounds like a fun way to paint a bike. Is the black layer powder or spray paint? And did you use spray paint for the splatters? I'm tempted to do something similar myself, It give those crazy 90s paint vibes.

Love the paint job! Reminds me of a Panasonic frame I once had, with a purple metallic paint covered with paint splatters. How did you apply the splatting?

Thanks! I just used the small paint brush that comes with children's paint sets. Dipped it in paint and just swung it towards the frame. I have your X-Check in my faves. I hope to get one of those dirt-touring rigs everybody is crazy about for myself soon.
