Surly Cross Check

I got hit by a car in January 2015 and totaled my previous Cross Check frame. It was a 58cm and was too long, so when I finally got around to replacing it, I went for the 56cm. All components were good after the wreck and I added a few fresh bits. Nice to have a do-it-all bike like this one again.

Thanks for your answer! But you didn't say how tall you are..? I know sizing depends on more things than just your height but it's just to have an idea.

Hey! Great bike! I was wondering how tall you are..You said that a 58 cross check was too long for you, do you feel alright on the 56 frame ? The saddle seems kinda high compared to the Surly bikes I've seen.

I do. I have long legs so I think the 56 and 58 both fit me in seat tube dimension; however the 58 is a good bit longer so I felt a lot more stretched out on that one. I probably could have gotten away with just using a shorter stem. All my other bikes I aim for a 57.5cm top tube.

How do you like the frame pump? I've been looking for a good one.

It's great. Very convenient and out of the way. Works faster and easier than a CO2 or small hand pump and was only $30.

I'll switch back and forth between platforms and shimano XT pedals depending on the ride.
