Bought on craigslist for $300 with DA shifter and mostly stock components. Upgraded heavily over the past 6-7 months with the aim of restoring race-level period appropriate components.

You're right! I fell in love with the cracked neon paint after seeing it on an old Trek mtb that a friend of mine has. I also worry slightly less about motorists not seeing me when I ride this bike.
