Finally got my hands on a Pulse, and I love it! The high bottom bracket prevents pedal strike when flying around corners in the city and it's a pretty fast ride without being too harsh.

They're a bit lighter, but I don't notice a difference when I'm riding at all. Both are excellent choices.

It rides pretty nicely. The ride isn't very stiff for an aluminum frame/fork, much less stiff than the Cannondales or Fuji Track Pro or the Tiemeyer.
