Microshift is a smaller Taiwanese drivetrain manufacturer, all of their stuff is Shimano compatible. I guess they just went for a smattering of features from all of the big 3: Shimano's shift ratio, Sram's hood shape and Campy's paddles and ability to go up and down the cassette more than 2 cogs at a time.

I had heard of Microshift, but I was referring to the shifter-levers: are those SRAM units that have somehow been modified with different internals? At any rate, I know what it's like to be hit by a car and lose a bike. I hope that you're physically OK, and that you're able to recoup the loss of this beautiful machine.
