Charles Jan was the Patron, Auguste Girard, Giovanni Ciusani was Sports Director. In good years, 40,000 Bikes were built. Hans Knecht became World Champion in 1946 riding a Cilo Bicycle, other notable Riders include the great Ferdi Kübler, Hugo Koblet, Gilbert Bischoff, Josef Fuchs, Beat Breu and Tony Rominger.
