Two months in the making, and painstakingly sourcing selective parts for my build, the Cinelli Bolt is finally put together. My first official full build has gotten me excited for the upcoming summer months. I had the opportunity to take it out at the Forest City Velodrome this past Sunday for its first ride, and damn it was fast. Theres one thing about buying a bike already built from a showroom floor, but to select each part personally is another story. And as we say here at Toronto Fixed… “ Drink beer. Make friends. Ride bikes.” Check out more info at www.torontofixed.com

rad bike man... Toronto fixed looks like a ton of fun... nothing like that around these parts.. I'm jealous!

Yeah its a little something my good friend Doug started in the summer, and i've been helping him grow the community. Its super fun to get out with a group of guys/girls who just love riding. Dont be jealous! Start up something in your community!

i wish i could, but cycling culture is almost non-existent here in central Illinois.. not enough places to ride and the wrong demographic of people

Real clean n solid build, way to go dude!

I really like the third pic, where the omnium is focused and there's the blurry cinelli logo in the background. Just beautiful.

Photo credit to my good friend Doug, he nailed the build shots.

I've always loved how Open Pros looked on the Bolt. You've pulled everything together very nicely!

Thank you! I was initially going to go with Ellipses, but the Open Pros look way cleaner.

Thanks! a good friend of mine was nice enough to lend me those Cinelli Pista drops for the track that day. Need to pick up a set of my own. Really digging the HED3 as well, Such a light wheel

Super clean build. Is the a track in Toronto? London? I've been meaning to get up to the one in London..
Posted almost 12 years ago
Its the Track in London, Forest City Velodrome. It's a smaller track, but its volunteer run and so much fun. Great crew of guys there.

Rad, I definitely need to make it up there. The guy I bought my LOOK from rides there pretty frequesntly (I think he has a carbon Kalavanka now) and speaks very highly of it. As soon as my Coltello is done I'm gonna make it happen.

Haha no way! we saw him there, had had a disk rear and fast forward 5 spoke front. That build is so sick. Let me know when you head that way maybe we can get a crew together

haha sounds about right, Scotts a good dude and has a basement full of awesome bikes (2 or 3 titanium Eddy Merckx team bikes, off the top of my head). I'll let you know when im heading up there. Hopefully before winter ends..

This is a super sleek build. I can't wait to hit a velodrome. I've been dreaming of the moment.

Oh man, that was my first time at a velodrome and im hooked. It was hands down the best biking experience of my life. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! really like the Mavic wheelset, compliments the frame well, Nice and simple.

i like it. i had to LOL at the ATAC's on the track though. hah

it's more sensible to use road pedals since they have a wider platform, and road shoes have stiffer soles which would work better on the track given that can't sacrifice power transfer
Posted almost 12 years ago
Yeah i know, i have Specialized Elite Road shoes with Ultegra pedals, but it didnt really fit the build. I also like the idea of being able to walk around comfortably :)
