I have the hard anodized version and the brakes do wear away the finish but it's not too bad.

These were made by Affinity especially for those of us in Japan. We have a 2 brake law here. I got mine from Blue Lug but I don't think they have anymore. Cinelli did the same for the Bolt here. Blue Lug still has some of those I believe and the Bolt has internal wiring.
