why you change your sheriff star hubs??

Posted over 10 years ago

Blokk

Blokk says:

i sold the old wheelset to purchase a more street friendly setup. the sheriff star looked nice but is to fragile for skidding and stuff

different strokes for different folks. personally i like the DA 7600 more for their look, also i´ve heard many positive comments about them. btw : low or high flange?

Posted over 10 years ago

Kevinpp17

Kevinpp17 says:

high flange,i want to make change on my wheelset specially the hubs, hunting something runs better

if i were you, i would stay with the miche hubs and invest in something else. i drive the miche hubs on my merckx for 2 years and are still satisfied with their performance

Kevinpp17 says:

yes,i'll save miche hubs, but want to made one more wheelset, because i want to have 2 gear ratios without changing cog

What's better than Italian steel ehh? What leads you to believe it's Masi or Colnago? Italy had lots of "shed"builders making house brands for shops and one offs for big Cos.Nice bike.

Posted almost 12 years ago

Blokk

Blokk says:

word. an italian steel frame is also the best i can imagine.

i get to the assumption about the frame could be an colnago or masi, cause the seller told me so. could also be everything else...

The Sheriff Star looks to me like it's the road (freewheel) version. Either that or you've (for some strange reason) put a road axle in the track version. Is there lockring threading? And is it open bearing or sealed cartridge?

Posted almost 12 years ago

Blokk

Blokk says:

it is the pista version. but you´re right someone put an different axle in the hub. i have no idea why.this is the reason, why there is a quick release.

but the hub is lockring threaded - pista not road.
