Rivendell Hunqapillar

I have no idea why this bike was discontinued, and I wake up every morning and praise Jah for allowing me to get one before it was too late. It's my favorite arrow in the quiver. The apple of my eye and my pop tart in the sky. This is David Lee Roth; all my other bikes are but so many Sammy Hagars. "Is it fast?" No. "Is it slow?" Probably. Most definitely under my cadence. "But wouldn't it be way kewler if it had stuff strapped to it like all the ultralight, ultra-rad bikepacker rigs do instead of running racks?" I might could do that, but I think unused braze-ons are like the unplugged stretched earlobes of bicycles: they're easy enough to ignore and leave unremarked upon, but everyone secretly thinks they're ugly and gross and we all wish to Jah that something would be done with them. I'm no sendy Mindy, so racks it is. I had grand dreams spun in macramé and bleeding harvest gold and avocado green tones of making this a retrogrouch beast with Suntour Cyclone mechs and downtube shifters. But I didn't want a show bike. Rather, I wanted a bike that I could ride hard and pull into camp dead last, so I naturally went with the latest but not greatest Sram 1x12 bundle. It's about the only thing on my favorite bike that the rad, send-y doodz I encounter out on the trailz don't look askance at.
