One of the first Rossin's on gilco tubes that was used by ussr track team in 80s, but in 21 century it layed in Samara with other "old" and "needless" crap like pursuit laser's, pursuit rih, de rosa's,pursuit rossin's. Very stiff and very-very rare.

If anyone is thinking this frame is not rossin, you are all wrong. I have seen 4 of these frames in finland and other gray rossins with same paintjob but no crimped tubes. None of those have the rossin cutout as this tubing is something else than GILCO. This tube is not butted but very thick walls and that is why this frame is very stiff. Also detailwork was not very nice in these frames so no pantographs in seatstays etc.

Weight of frame says that this frame is butted. Also I rode non-butted frames and I know about what I'm saying)
This is early gilco tubing, it is not very light, but it's stiff cuz of the form of tubes. Master olympic in 55 size weights 2 kilos, this-1900. Track de rosa's from 70's weights more than 2 kilos, but they are really good. However I agree with you that detailwork is not like on olympic masi's, but all rossins, that i've seen from ussr team are not nice in details. But it rides well)

This tubing is not GILCO, this frame in my understanding is made out of tubes branded SILVA. I am not 100% sure if the silva tubes are butted and then deformed. The gray regular tubed frames are 100% FALK tubing which definately is not butted. I can not imagine why rossin would use high end tubes with no details on the frames and make them look cheap like the falk frames..

As I know, SILVA has 5 edges and GILCO has 4 edges. So, maybe this frame is not top, but it's really rare and it weights like other nice butted frames from 80's->it's butted:) And it layed with other nice frames, as I write in description, like laser's, de rosa's, rossins sprint and pursuit. And ussr team always had nice frames.

Thx. However, this setup is not final. It calls "I build it from what I found on my balcon"

I don't want to upset you, but I feel very comfortable on it with my 175cm) I think I need 120mm stem, but all of this details are Sam's, so rossin needs another

What about the seat stays which should have Rossin & the bottom bracket which should have a Rossin cut out
Posted about 7 years ago
No one mention about Rossin on the top of seat stays or on bb, but you can search rossin frames that also haven't got it

OK - I was trying to help in the identification of the frame as you are asking for help.
As a general rule Rossin frames are identified by R on the lugs, R cut out on the BB and Rossin on the seat stays.
If you do not have all or any of these identifying marks, I do not know what you have.

The only Rossins I have seen with crimped tubing are the Rossin ghibli.
