The previous owner used the bike on an home trainer for several years. He also mounted a tri- handle bar on it. So the pressure was always on the front wheel and the upper part of the frame. When I got the Poliaghi the rim of the front wheel was definately out of form - now after using the cycle for three years the frame gave up as well.
