Ultimate chill mode setup for a tour in VT. Waaaay lower gearing, more upright position, new fork that makes it nearly low-trail and gives some more mounting points.

Not at all. You miiiight run into issues if you ran 50's, but even that would probably be fine. 43's fit with plenty of room.
