Apologies, so is this new one non SBDU? Mine is 753R and light as a feather but 531 is still classic. Am i right in saying a yellow headtube means an earlier frame?

No, not color. Serial number indicates where built and year. 753 is awesome stuff. True craftsmanship. But something iconic about the OG Raleigh Pro Track in 531

Im sure I've read somewhere that after a point (late 70's maybe) yellow was not used any longer in favour of black headtubes on team colour frames. I love 753 but its super delicate. Mine has a few little bar dings in the top tube. What year is your frame if you don't mind me asking?

This one is Reynolds 531 tubing. My other (now sold) was the very rare Reynolds 753 tubing made at the Ilkeston SBDU shop. Different color headtubes. If you're nerdy like me and into that kind of thing.
