These framesets are often attributed to Yamaguchi but that’s incorrect. He (very obviously) designed these and oversaw their construction, but he never built for GT Bicycles (although he admitted that some of his Performance brand bikes were repainted in team colors). This one built by Forrest Yelverton in GT’s Longmont, CO shop using Yamaguchi-designed True Temper Velo aerofoil tubing. They were produced ‘93-‘96. There are theories that this one might have been built for Janie Eickhoff. (Thanks Carl Sundquist).

Hello Amy, love your collection. I’m here with Carl admiring your bikes over beers.
He suspects it’s Janie Eickhoff’s bike based on the headtube length.
Beautiful bike and build!
