Motobecane Prolight '84

This frameset was a wedding gift from my wife. With an overhaul and some upgraded parts, it transformed into a super-commuter. :)

Frame:
Vitus 979 Duralinox tubing bonded with Bador cement.

Fork/Headset:
Vitus / FSA Duron-X

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Shimano BB-UN55 / Mavic 631 Starfish

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Mavic (53/42t) chainrings / SRAM PG-850 cassette / KMC X8.99 chain

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Simplex

Handlebars/Stem:
Motobecane / Philippe ATAX

Saddle/Seatpost:
Bontrager Serano / Campagnolo

Brakes:
Origin8 Ultim8 levers / Tektro calipers

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Remerx rim / Miche Excel hub / Fyxation Session tire

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:

Looks like my old bike from the 80's. I bought a Motobecane Prolight from a shop in Michigan...road it everywhere I went for ten years...then sold it to a bike shop in Miami(kids needed diapers)...lol! Always loved that gun metal gray frame
