I saw this one on Craigslist and was in awe of it's components and overall photographed appearance. In person it was worse than I had hoped for. It was ridden hard and put away wet too many times. It needed 2 weeks of soaking and heat and cold applications just to free the stem. Luckily I had a perfect paint match to tackle the rusty cable guides and nasty scratches. It now looks nearly new and if I didn't point out the blemishes they would go unnoticed.

This was my bike. I bought it new from Len Vreeland at the Broken Spoke in Allentown, PA. I'm so glad it found it's way to Velogarden. I'm the one guilty of riding it hard and putting it away wet too many times, and I apologize. I actually took it to Japan, and my profile pic (if you can see it) is a picture of me with the bike in the mountains just east of Mt Fuji itself circa 1984. I said goodbye to to this Fuji Pro when it changed hands from me to the artisan who brought it back to life and I am forever grateful.
