1964 Mercier 200

Nearly 100% original. Found very filthy and badly faded. Drove 5 hours to get this one but well worth it. I was able to save all the original decals.

She was so badly faded, I thought the color was a pale olive green but when I pulled off the components and saw the original color I was so surprised. I did my best to restore the color without destroying the original. I traced the hand pinstriping and sprayed a light coat of fresh color, then traced the pinstriping again. Even though it's not perfect, I prefer the hand painted flaws.

I saw this bike on Craigslist and under all the crud, I knew there was a genuine beauty hiding. I just had to peel away all the years of weathering. Riding this one always makes me smile.
