More Info:
After a little research online it appears its from 1990 (http://www.mtb-kataloge.de/html/klein.html). -- Came to the realization that it was just slightly too big for me and it deserved better than to be someones commuter/lockup bike. Last photo is how it sat when I sold it.

hah thanks man. I updated the description, although not a "beater" per-say its the bike in my stable that I have the least amount of money sunk into and would be least bummed about if someone decided to walk away with it.

Beater may have been the wrong term. I can appreciate (more than most even) the craftmanship and quality of this frame. It will definitely be taken care of.
