Built in 1994 for the Yamaguchi/Colorado Cycling Team. Previous owner bought the frame from Craig Griffin (former United States track coach, current Canada track coach) in the mid 90's while living in Colorado. Last picture is how it looked when I bought it

Some companies just call them bolt on/anti-theft skewers. Zipp sells a front only and calls it a track skewer. More secure than a quick release I suppose? Definitely wouldn't trust one on the rear though hah

The green wasn't what I expected and as much I wanted to like it... I grew to hate it hah so sent back to be repainted

you and me both! and thank you! the downtube decals are generally used on Yamaguchi's tandem builds (with larger tubes) but I was able to score some thankfully. I think they look a lot nicer than the smaller ones

Yamaguchis home is in Rifle CO so it makes sense. They found this jersey in a box in storage and offered it to me for next to nothing. Won't have it until my frame gets here though!

Just spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Koichi's wife and she said its gonna be going to paint in about a week. taking a little longer than they expected but hoping to have it back in about 4 weeks... just in time for Buffalo winter haha

yah those are super nice. I already have the zipp front though and want them to match. I have a Zipp rear on the way that needs some love but hopefully it works for me.
