The 2026 Tracklocross World Championship will be hosted in Zurich, and it would be fun to participate, but I don't have a bike yet, so this build is the plan. Happy to get some feedback before I place the order. I thought a steel frame would be the better choice than a stiff alloy frame. I first planned on using MTB cranks, but the 52-55mm chainline doesn't match. Also, Pail component cranks would need a 104mm square taper BB with a 6mm offset chainring, but I can't find a 104mm square taper BB. Frames with less common 135mm rear hub spacing are not an option. I'll race 33-35mm tires like on my cyclocross bike, so I'm not interested in 40/45 or 50mm tire recommendations. The plan is to give the bike away to a nichecycling customer after the race.
