Rossi Track Bike

This particular bike was made in the mid-1980s by Scapin in Italy, for Rossi. Rossi was the house brand of Scattolon Cycles in Hamilton, who was sponsoring Canada Team Pursuit riders at the 1986 Commonwealth Games held in Edinburgh, Scotland. Most of those riders were part of the Fonthill Lumber Team and continued to race around Southern Ontario on these bikes for several years following. You can see some pictures of riders on these bikes such as Llyod Thomas and Ezio Andreola. It is beautiful, lugged frame and has a lovely patina to the burgundy chromovelato paint. The chrome is still brilliant, and the slim chrome fork really sets this one apart! The frame is made Columbus SL and has Campagnolo drop outs. It is fitted with full Miche Pr1mato Italian components. Has a beautiful Rossi pantograph stem holding the Cycloman Pista bars, and has Vittoria CG-Pro tubular rims with Miche hubs. Has a Selle San Marco Supercorsa leather saddle. Has a 49x15 tooth gear ratio Has a large 60cm frame, (60 cm Seat Tube, 58cm Top Tube)
