More Info:
Rather than set this up all match matchy, I went with a very smooth functioning Shimano setup for climbing on 66-year old legs:
5800 STI shifters are bulletproof, and the hoods…!
7900 FD because it works, and is simple.
9000 RD, modified with a 6800 cage. Go long…
The Hover bar gives my neck and back a lift.
7700 headset because I needed 1” threadless.
Spacers duplicate the quill stem fit I use.
9000 crankset because I found one with a Stages.
9000 calipers because they are smoothies.
Tubulars because I like tubulars.
R-SYS wheels because they are great wheels.
Yellow XON hoods, much better than OEM.
Precisa fork because I like it better than carbon.
