Ahh always had a fetish for these bikes. Came close to getting one a handful of times. Someday I will

weird. I had a TK2 way long ago. Didn't like it that much. Obviously the Tk1 and Tk2 are very different. And I don't ride track so a TK1 would be straight shenanigans. I always just liked the thought of the gan well for having a light carbon track bike for all these hills living in the mountains
Posted about 11 years ago
Tk2s have a very unforgiving ride for street. In theory a Tk1 should be much stronger than a conventional Carbon frame. Some kid in Spain rides his street.

Looking much better! I need to see pics on an actual bike scale though. I don't believe that weight claim! Haha
Posted about 12 years ago
Oh an your saddle is cocked in that first pic, hope you straightened it already ;)
Posted about 12 years ago
I know... I was so disappointing in the second pic I straighten it. I will as soon as I go to my friend's shop to weight it!

You should try going into stealth colors. Aero seatpost, hplus laced onto dura ace, and thompson stem, deda pista drops. And omniums with a black zen. Thats what i would do if i had this. Still looks nice tho.
Posted about 12 years ago
Doesnt it look wierd tho? Having parts that matches with a small tubing frame onto a fat aero tubing frame. Its like a skinny girl wearing big, non matching clothes. Lol
Posted about 12 years ago
Well, think of it like Gan well usually makes NJS frames, so i decided just because it is a Gan well, I'll make it full NJS.
Posted about 12 years ago
When or if I race. I will get some sorta of Carbon tubular wheels, and that is when i might change it haha
Posted about 12 years ago
Lol, dude you should try some sram s60 or s80 front wheels. There really cheap for a 60 and 80mm carbon radial rims. Cheaper than a front 808 zipp.

Aren't the FFWD 5 Spoke a replica of the mavic io? They look pretty nice, standard velodrome set up.
Posted about 12 years ago
The araya track disc and a corima 4 spoke wheel would look very sexy on this bike lol
Posted about 12 years ago
Holy shit, how many bikes did you go through? I only went through 3 bike frames.
Posted about 12 years ago
Well its very addicting to try out new bikes. To me looking at every different set ups on bikes makes me want to try it out and build another.
Posted about 12 years ago
I just need a perfect bike. Which is impossible, so i constantly change my bikes.
Posted about 12 years ago
Nice! You should chain break the links, its going to look a little nicer! Haha
Posted about 12 years ago
Lol the crankset look quite long on your first picture :D great setup and beautiful bike!

You can't say Dura Ace everything unless it's All Dura Ace papo. Where the pedals, cog, & lock ring??
Posted about 12 years ago
Yes. That will be Dura Ace as well. Maybe not pedals. But I'm poor.
Posted about 12 years ago
Ordered Araya Golds to Dura ace hubs. Maybe my Dura ace 7600 in a few days.
Posted about 12 years ago
why dont you put "thanks brandon and andrew for helping me put this bike together because i was too much of a pussy and afraid id destroy the threads on my sugino 75s" <3

Welcome to the club! What size??
Posted over 12 years ago
Woah, im 5'11 too and I'd say my 56 fits like a glove. That's probably explains why the stem is flipped up with the bullhorns? But I'd expect the saddle to be higher. Either way, Congrats!
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks, lovin' this bike. Seat need to be raise a tad. Need more nJs though.
Posted over 12 years ago
can't wait for the build mayne! this is cool!
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks, it will be built tomorrow. but won't be "done" for a while. I plan on getting all NJS parts of it.
Posted over 12 years ago
That GSC sticker looks right at home. That headtube/fork combo is fire.
Posted over 12 years ago
