1991 Specialized Allez Epic 54cm

Really nice early carbon frame technology. The same frame was sold with Shimano Dura Ace, Shimano 600, or Shimano 105. This started as as a Shimano 105 bike. I built it from a bare frame and brought it back with my choice of components

Carbon tube, aluminum lugged, stainless drop outs. 54cm

Specialized aluminum/sealed

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
FSA triple/Shimano sealed

Shimano 7 speed SIS/14-34/50-39-28

Shimano Deore XT/Shimano indexed

Sped WTB gel 140/Strong

Shimano 600

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Matrix 36H/Shimano 105/Bontrager Race Lite Clincher

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Matrix 36H/Shimano 105/Bontrager Race Lite Clincher

More Info:
My brother became a septuagenarian in 2016, so I built this bike for him as a birthday gift. The thinking is basically a quick road bike with very low gearing and a taller stem; items that need adjusting as one changes over time.
