1968 Unival Bike

My first bike I got in about 1968 or 1969.After giving it away I got it back and changed it over to BMX cruiser bike in the early 1990's. I repainted the frame to give it a new look.

Frame:
Steel frame styled in classic cruiser bike look.

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Steel crank arms.

Pedals:
Older style rubber pedals

Derailleurs/Shifters:
none

Handlebars/Stem:
Old style ape hanger handle bars.

Saddle/Seatpost:
Banana seat. The one in the picture replaced original seat. The rear seat mounting tube is a replacement. The original bar was higher.

Brakes:
Coaster brake

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
20" by 2 1/2 " TrackerGrip tire

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
20" by 2 1/5" TrackerGrip tire

More Info:
My first ride! I was 8 years old and this was my birthday present. I hung on to for the longest time until I got the rid of it earlier this year. More pictures to come of later work done to it to make it into BMX cruiser bike. The rear seat post was removed and placed on my SWB recumbent bike posted on this site. The front fender taken off and was used on my first FWD recumbent also on this site.

Hello, I have been trying to find history on Unival bicycles. Not much luck. The genealogy of them is tough to track down. Do you remember where the bike was purchased? That might help me to track them down. Any information you know would also be helpful. I had a Unival ten-speed around 1975. Brother lost it. Thanks bro. Thank you for your consideration. :)

I lost my home and lacked space to store some of the bikes I owned so it was passed on another owner.
