2000 SWB Recumbent

A recumbent built for a person in 2000. This was built at the same time as my faired low racer.

Frame:
Recycled bicycle bits mixed with square steel tubing.

Fork/Headset:
A 20" fork

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Mountain Bike 48/38/28 chain ring with a 28/14 tooth 6 speed rear gear cluster.

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Shimano base level shifters of the time.

Handlebars/Stem:
A extended stem to allow a higher handle bar postion.

Saddle/Seatpost:
A custom built steel framed with plywood base.

Brakes:
Side puul design.

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
16" by 1.75"

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
24" by 1 3/8th"

This bike tried a few new indeas on how to build up the frame.
