1984 Duell track (sold)

In 1978 Dutch framebuilderJan van Dalen started in building frames at his parents place in The Hague Holland. Later he moved Monster Holland in the westside of the country with making race frames. At first it was really how the English like to say "cottage-industry" . . . . . Jan built his frames in his shed at home. Jan, however, grew very fast from his shed and moved to Hoek van Holland where he remained until 2002 and under the name Duell and continued building beautiful steel frames. With his contact of a number of Western Brabant former riders including Teun van Vliet he arrived right at the end of 2002 in the Brabant Baarle Nassau. In 2006, Duell retrieved by Van Herwerden Wielersport in Voorburg Holland. However, Jan still makes the Duell frames and which are sold by Van Herwerden. Van Dalen is sticking to steel as material for his frames, because as he used to say steel is real! 58cm center center 60cm center top 57cm top tube
